The space

This is GLAMPING. There are bugs, heat, stars, birds. It's beautiful and challenging.
**ASK ME ANYTHING We truly care about our guests. This is a stay + experience. We will be totally transparent about what you might encounter to be sure we are a good fit.

• OFF GRID glamping experience without electricity as you know it, but with all the necessities.

• IDEAL for families, couples, friend groups, or solo retreats.

• BEDROOM queen bed dressed in seasonal bedding. Choose from firm, memory and buckwheat hull pillows infused with lavender. Featuring a private deck with a beautiful nature view from your bed.

• BEDS All bedding provided. 2 sets of bunks available for adults or littles. Top bunks do not have rails. Futon unfolds into full size bed for 2. A view of the woods to awaken you in the morning.

• BATHROOM indoor with simple, odorless dry toilet, hot shower, shampoo, soap.

• HEATING provided from propane wall heater. You control the heat.

• COOLING floor fan provided. Very limited a/c availability.

• SHOWER is quick to heat with a good supply of hot water from 275 gallon indoor water tank. Towels, soap, shampoo supplied.

• KITCHEN provides place settings for 6 in this galley. Butane single burner cooktop. Pots, pans. Paper towels. Complete with an Omnia oven (look it up or ask me. Glampers will love it).

• CELL SERVICE is obtainable at the parking area. Some carriers receive cell service on the left side of the front deck of the cabin. Some carriers have no trouble anywhere on the property.

• NO WIFI take this opportunity to unplug. Let nature be your television. It is amazing.

• ENERGY provided with at least 1000 W battery generator. Very limited a/c runs on solar. We are at the mercy of the sky. Live with purpose.

• REFRIGERATION with 24 quart compressor (cooler style) fridge/freezer should you choose to use your battery generator energy in this way. No ice allowed in this unit.

• COOLER portable available for ice storage. Use dry ice if a freezer is needed.

• HAMMOCKS 4 stationed under the cabin for sleeping, napping, or just absorbing nature.

• LIGHTING throughout the cabin. Battery powered. Controlled by remotes.

• GRILL on the front deck while the family hangs out in zero gravity indoor/outdoor chairs.

• COFFEE provided. Pour over coffee maker.

• DRINKING WATER supplied with our Berkey filter system.

• PARKING single pad in front of cabin. The 100 ft trail through the woods will lead you to the ramp at the cabin. (No stairs to climb). Additional parking available upon request.

• PACK and dress for the weather. Just like camping, if it's warm/cold outside it will be a bit warm/cold inside. House shoes and dog bed recommended. Floor gets chilly due to elevation of cottage.

• WINTER if extreme, may require AWD as we do not snow plow the gravel drive.

• CANCELLATIONS due to life threatening weather is permitted. Chat with us about your circumstance.

Guest access

The cabin is all yours and so is the view.
Do not trespass onto neighbors property on the opposite side of the cabin road.
You may walk the road to get to the rest of our property.
Roam until you see a fence line whether it be a downed fence or functioning fence.
We often have other guests at the rear of property. Please be respectful of their privacy.

• This is a stay + experience. We will be totally transparent about what you might encounter.

• Nothing will be perfect except the unique experience: You may have to swap over a propane tank outside in the middle of the night. You might get hot. You might get cold. You might see bugs. You might see a snake in the Woods. Whatever MO has to offer, that's what you'll get.
It's amazingly rewarding.

• Our family lived here for 3 months while it was being worked on by us. We know this place from inside out and built it with our guests comfort in mind. The Place functions better when it is full of love.

• Pet requirements include:
1. Up to two dogs allowed
2. cannot be on linens: bedding, pillows, blankets, towels
3. Cannot be on furniture: including couch, chairs, or beds
4. won't chew furniture
5. potty trained
6. must be crated while you are away
7. pick up after pup around cabin perimeter and on trails
8. non-refundable pet fee of $50 for first dog, $25 for second dog

Neighborhood overview

Nature is your neighborhood. The Place is snuggled in the woods.
We own an airbnb geodome a few acres away. Guests should be considerate of each other.
Nearby houses are close in case of emergency but not within view of the cabin. It is possible that you hear traffic and neighbors from time to time but they are not seen.
You have our permission to walk around naked ;)

Getting around

You are only 9 min from the town center or Wal-Mart.
The Place is 200 yards off a paved road on a gravel right-of-way.
One parking area nearest The Place. More parking available upon request.
A vehicle is needed at this location.
Restaurants, shopping, and trails available in sweet small town Perryville or surrounding larger cities.

House Rules

• Smoking allowed OUTSIDE with proper cleanup. No smoking inside.

• Additional visitors must be requested before arrival.

• You will be responsible for changing the propane tank line to a new available propane tank if a tank goes empty (see video)

• You will be responsible for removing the dry toilet and replacing with a new bucket during your stay if needed. We have fresh buckets available. Unless your stay is long or has many people, it will not need to be changed. Easy process. (see video)

• Owners closet is off limits to guests.

• One vehicle allowed. Additional may be requested.

• Water pump, wall heater, grill turned off when you are absent from the cabin.

• Fire pit extinguished by water before you leave the fire pit area.

• Pet requirements:
1. CANNOT BE ON LINENS: bedding, pillows, blankets, towels.
2. CANNOT BE ON FURNITURE: couch, chairs, beds
3. Potty trained
4. Must be crated while you are away
5. Won't chew furniture
